Mill Ends Park Run

Woke up this morning, realizing I have not been to Mill Ends Park yet. I've heard of it, and can see it from my usual route along the Willamette, but have never gone over to check it out and run a lap of the park.

It's famous as the smallest park in the world according to The Guinness Book, and it's right here in Portland. Right along my usual route.
So today, i finally broke off the path, and ran the extra probably 500 feet over to the park. I waited for the light to change, then did one lap around the park (approx 6.28 feet) and ran back to the path. I saw no leprechauns or anything else unusual (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mill_Ends_Park). It's winter though, so it wasn't very lush either.

I'm not even going to add that distance onto my Broadway/Hawthorne Bridges Six Miler, but I'm glad I did it.
